The January 2010 eartquake has caused millions of dollars of damage to out projects.
Buildings programs and livelihood of the people we truly love have been demolished or destroyed.
Star of hope Haiti Foundation has a plan to become better stronger and more effective than ever before.
Every aspect of our work has been evaluated from how we work to whom we partner with and our goals.
First we are under an obligation to those we are currently working with to help with recovery.
This we will be done through with a plan that is both comprehensive and inclusive.
We in intend to:
1. Rebuild the school buildings to meet our new model school standards to better prepare the children for the future.
2. Strengthen local community groups encouraging them in the rebuilding Haiti
3. Improve the quality of our education system by empowering the communities and strengthening the local organizations and churches;by the children in our projects will become engaged citizens.
4. Restore confidence hope and the local economy with our pay it forward goat and chicken project and a new micro loan project.
5. Make our entire project facilities are hadicapped accessible.
We were able to start immediately after the quake because you did not hesitate to help.
While the fear of being inside buildings is strong with the help of donors like you we provided materials for short term outdoor structures that allowed the children to resume studies in early March more than a month before the government schools reopened.
But Star of hope Haiti can´t afford the cost of this plan.
You and the other sponsors are the cornerstone that supports all these accomplishment toward changing a child future.
After the earthquake it was so wonderful to know that the sponsors looked for information about their child.
You have shown dedication and love.
Thank you for being a sponsor!We believe that your concern and care will motivate more people to join the challenge and make it happen.
Thank you for your thought your prayers and reminding us that from the rubble something new is going to come out for Haiti.
